Hello, I'm Quslim Reed (Qúe). My name was given to me by my Muslim mother in Oakland, California. Thus, we have Qúe Spicy Ribs and Fish in memory of her.
At the age of 7, I moved to Arcadia, Oklahoma to live with my grandparents on their farm and this is where I learned the essence of hard work, discipline and cooking. My grandmother would wake me up every morning at 5:00 a.m. to go pick eggs and show me how to make biscuits from scratch and my grandfather would show me how to feed our pigs and yes kill them when they were fat and ready.
I moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1994 as a college graduate from Langston University to attend Grad school at Morehouse School of Religion. After I graduated in 1997, I decided to stay in Atlanta, cooking for friends at their events. They kept saying, "you should open you own restaurant this is really good." So, I started my business in 2005 and it has been thriving since!
